You Move: Filipino Youth & Migration Media Workshops for University Students
You Move: Filipino Youth & Migration” is a program that provides university
students in communication-related courses with the opportunity to increase their awareness and understanding
of migration (regular and irregular) and produce creative outputs that focus on these subjects. The materials
below have been produced and exhibited in the students’ communities and shared with their peers in order
to raise levels of awareness of migration issues.It is conducted by the Probe Media Foundation, Inc. (PMFI),
in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), within the framework of the European
Union-funded Philippine Border Management Project.
Twenty four students from the areas of Manila, Laoag, Cebu, Davao and Zamboanga were selected
to be part of the programme and they participated in a workshops and enrichment activities that made way for the
production of creative outputs, such as documentaries, films, a storybook, posters, songs and music videos on the
topic of migration.
